Players that Manchester United should spend money on (Part 1)
Manchester United, who are quite easily the most successful club in Premier League's history, have almost always been the team to beat, however this time around things seem to be going down a different path for them. The team is currently having a hard time
in the league, which has seen them give up three goal leads, which in the past would have been unimaginable.
Amidst the team performing out of character, it was given another blow as it's star player, Wayne Rooney went ahead to admit that he did not wish to remain a United player any longer and would rather play for some other team.
Manchester United, who were initially reluctant on letting the player go, seem to have finally come to terms with the fact that the player was on his way out sooner rather than later. However, what the team has also realised is, is the fact that they could
soon see a large amount of money be handed to them in return for the departing player.
What United need to do now is to carefully consider what they are going to be spending their money on? it is also a no brainer that the money will be spent on signing more players. We look at some of the players that experts believe could be the best possible
alternatives for United:
David De Gea:
Atletico Madrid have recently been taken by storm by a nineteen year old. The player that has brought a revolution to the side, despite being a teenager, is none other than David De Gea. The keeper has been in blistering form ever since he was appointed
as the number one shot stopper for the team. He has gone from being an unknown young Spanish player to one of the most renowned keepers in the world at the moment.
De Gea is one of the best reflex savers of the ball and has a unique sense of knowing where the attackers are going to be placing their shots. He has also managed to keep a number of clean sheets and has become one of the best players to ever come out of
the Atletico youth system.
Due to his brilliant form, he has been linked with a number of top European teams, who have been chasing him like a pack of hungry dogs over the last couple of months, but neither one of those teams has in the past been successful at signing him. All of
this could however change if Manchester United decide to move in for the player.
United, despite their current poor form, are still considered to be one of the best teams and are the ultimate destination for any player to end up at. United have in the past been linked with the player on a few occasions, but the team never really considered
materializing their interest in the teenager.
But, with Edwin Van Der Sar nearing retirement sooner rather than later, it might just be the time for the team to bring the player into the club. Not only will they have the cash to sign the player, but the team would also be able to accommodate him in
their roster without having to make any cuts.
All in all, a move for De Gea could be in the works, as soon as Rooney decides to finally pack his bags and be on his way from Old Trafford.
