Players that can fulfil the youth void in the Los Angeles Lakers – NBA Special Report (Part-2)
Raymond Felton and JR Smith
The duo from the Denver Nuggets Raymond Felton and JR Smith are still young, aggressive on the offence and suitable option on the point guard and to sum it up, they address all the three major concerns the Los Angeles Lakers have
at the moment. Both the players carry the action tremendously on the court and can play a vital role in the crunch time with their terrific perimeter shooting.
Lakers can receive the benefit by having both the players in the line-up as Felton and Smith complement each other very well. Los Angeles Lakers can trade Steve Blake along with Ron Artest or Lamar Odom to procure the prolific
duo. The most important reason to have Smith with Raymond is because JR can power the team down the stretch in the same fashion Jason Terry is powering the Dallas Mavericks magnificently.
Dorell Wright: 6 foot 7 inch Small Forward
Golden State Warriors’ small forward Dorell Wright is known for his athleticism and impeccable shooting. With the size and strength Wright carries, Lakers can infuse a young energized star power they lack at the moment.
After shifting his talent to the Warriors in the 2010-2011 season, Dorell showed an enormous improvement in his game-play and averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 boards and 3.0 assists. The 25-year-old Wright is surely a great option for
Lakers to go with who can provide fireworks all over the court.
Jameer Nelson: 6 foot 0 inch Point Guard
Considering the current point guard Derek Fisher who is about to turn 37, the 29-year-old Jameer Nelson of the Orlando Magics still will be quite a young option for the Lakers to carry the responsibility of the position. Nelson
is agile and hols a considerable NBA experience that can help Lakers a great deal.
Jameer is on his prime at the moment and can spark Lakers dominantly in the coming 4-5 years.  Nelson draws almost the same salary as Lamar Odom or Ron Artest does so Lakers can work it out easily to land the star player from Orlando.
Jrue Holiday: 6 foot 3 inch Point Guard
The young spirited star of the Philadelphia 76ers Jrue Holiday is fast, an extraordinary shooter, an outstanding passer of the ball and most of all he is developing dominantly with every game. During his second season of the career,
Holiday averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 assists and 4.0 boards.
The 20-year-old Jrue is an amazing player and has a great influence on all aspects of the game. Lakers needs a points guard at the moment and Holiday masters the position very well.
Los Angeles Lakers have been a dominating team since more than a decade. They have won a number of championships during this time accompanied with the brilliance of the Hall of Famer Phil Jackson. They don’t have Jackson anymore
and they won’t be having Bryant forever. So Lakers need to acquire a couple of young players and need to transform them as the leader in the team.
