Players who would be making comeback in the National Hockey League: Part 1
There are players who performed very well and were top of the game but a bad form or an injury became cause of their game getting down. In National Hockey League (NHL) there are so players of this kind who have not been on their best recently but they
would be looking to get back into form.
Following is the list of such players who would be looking to improve and give their best by doing some hard work.
Alex Ovechkin
The Washington Capitals’ captain, Alex Ovechkin took everybody by storm when he started to play in the NHL. The 23-year-old Russian scored 100+ points in his very first season and then went on to achieve the feat in 3rd, 4th and
5th season.
But in last two seasons he was unable to get to 100 points mark and his performance is coming down slightly. He scored 85 points in the 2010-2011 season and then 65 in the 2011-2012 season.
This is something he would be looking to change and go for another 100+ point’s season.
Jeff Carter
The 27-year-old centre, who was drafted by Philadelphia Flyers in the 2003 NHL Draft made NHL debut in 2005-2006 season and showed a great performance in his first few seasons, something which he has been unable to do in last few seasons.
His bad form is something which has become cause of him being traded to different teams in last one season or so.
After three seasons in which he scored 50+ points, last was his worst in the seven year NHL career as he scored just 34 points in the whole season. It resulted in him being traded to Columbus Blue Jackets first and then Los Angeles Kings but he would
be looking to perform well and look for one permanent.
Nathan Horton
The 27-year-old Canadian forward, Nathan Horton guided Boston Bruins to reach the finals of the Stanley Cup. But in th game three he suffered an injury which stopped him from playing further in the finals.
Also in the last season, he could not feature in all of the games because of injuries and could only play 46 of the regular season games. This something that he would be looking to change this season and get more fit and feature in all the games, like
he had been doing with Florida Panthers back in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 season.
