Playing Golf for school first time Junior year?

Question

How long would it take me to get a decent swing? In three months, would I be able to play effectively?

I've never swung a golf club in my life. Is it hard to pick up the game? Is it too late to start?

its never to late to start, u can play the rest of your life. some people pick it up real fast some people don't, the main thing is if your going to play for the school, let the coach help teach you your swing from the beginning so you don't start w/ any bad habbits, its so hard to break them, g'l

It is not too late to start playing the game, but unless your school team is really bad you shouldn't be able to make the team after only 3 months of learning from scratch.

lol dude if your talknig about long holes its gonna take a while and it depends on your weight and strength. If your strong you might catch on faster and hit farther but if your skinny like me you gotta get that swing down and you'll hit it far TIP: DONT TRY TO KILL IT YOU'LL ONLY GET GROUND BALLS AS A RESULT YOU WANT A NICE EASY SWING AND IT WILL GO FAR TRUST ME IV'E BEEN GOLFING FOR 5 YEARS
