  1. YES copyright forbids you from playing music, films etc to the public without prior permission.

  2. no you just need to be able to focus on driving and the passenger..while listening to the radio and still being able to hear the traffic out side and most importent to hear you passengers

  3. This is a sticky one, if the bus is used with a view to profit (not private personal use). then you will need a performing rights society license (PRS). and you my come under the new licensing Act 2003 this covers "regulated entertainment" so you may need advice on that (Local Council office).

PRS licenses the use of music on board coaches and buses throughout the UK.  The annual charges in Tariff ‘MC’ are scaled according to the type of device (TV, radio, CD, tape, video player) used and the seating capacity (including driver) of each vehicle.

Call 0800 068 4828 and they will provide you with a quote or supply you with a PRS Music Licence in a matter of minutes!

  4. DEPENDS is it via the radio then thats ok.

  5. yes dollybird is right, the same applies to shops etc where ever the public are, i remember a friend of mine had to pay for his right to play the local station on his radio, not very well up on it though

  6. No you don't as far as I know.
