Playing Rapidshare downloads?

I am downloading videos from rapidshare and I can't seem to get them to play on anything, windows media player etc. Wat should I do?

I think you dont have the video codec required to play the file.

Make sure the file size mentioned in rapidshare and  the downloaded file is same.

If file sizes are same, then second reason could be the file you have downloaded is splitted in parts. download all the parts and unsplit them.

third. download codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/K_lite_codec_...

install the full version. it has all the codecs requeired to play any kind of audio or video file

thats impossible check the file format what is it ?

and do download player called Vlc just google it to find it .

this player plays almost every format .

Chances are, you lack the required codecs. There's a convenient package called CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) that will install most of the more commonly used codecs for you, as well as, optionally, some popular media players.  You can get it here:

If you don't want to install the pack, then you have a few options.  You could type the name of the codec used for your video file into a search engine and install it from it's official website, or you could install a media player that does not require the separate installation of many codecs, such as VLC or GOM Player on Windows, VLC or mplayer on OS X or *nix systems.

EDIT: The first reply is correct.  If you are downloading videos from places such as rapidshare, please ensure you are not violating any copyright laws.  I am well aware that there are many public domain files on rapidshare as well, and if you are downloading these files, then there is no problem.  Just be careful what you download. Places like rapidshare are filled with illegal files.
