  1. If you really do have good hands and speed then you shouldn't have a problem making the team. Just give it your all. As for tricking your DBs all you need to do is have good route running and that should be enough.

  2. Use cut moves on the line without right after the start of the play this will sometimes get CB's to run the wrong way,

run comeback routes this will make your hight work for you instedt of against you,

when you have the ball in your hands to shake the D first do a cut right and when he follows it plant him on his but and then you cut left

If they don't want you on the team at WR go for Returner, then you can always impress them later

    on WR

    Daniel FS

  3. Work on your hips and breaking down your feet at the pivot marks on your routes.

Guys with the most technically sound routes are harder to cover than speed demons. Not everybody is a Ted Ginn Jr. and just run outs everyday of the week.

Just watch Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, or Greg Jennings. Excellent route runners. To add on with Jennings, he doesn't have the greatest 40 yard time off the field. But when he is on the field, he is easily one of the fastest players.

  4. If you are trying out for 7th grade football there is only one thing you really need to do....work your butt off...if you go out there and give it everything you've got and out work your competition, the coaches will notice....at this level of football a kid with a good work ethic will stand out from the rest, even if you are not the biggest kid....just work hard, do what the coaches tell you to do, and keep a good attitude during tryouts....and you shouldn't have any problem making the team...good luck

  5. I played QB on my football team last year, and i know that a good receiver just has to make the catch. the best receivers will make a catch in coverage. So if you have good hands, then dont worry about. Have a conference with your QB, and tell him to throw it low. And to shake corners, just give them a real hard push off the start. If you knock him over then there is no one to cover you. But only if they are playing bump coverage. If he sits back and waits for you to run to him, then just juke him out of his shoes. To impress coaches, just standout from the crowd. Make every catch, and excell in all the drills. You will definitely make the team.
