  1. I assume you're taking lessons, but if not, get them! Also, to get faster fingers try finger exercises like scales. Some easy guitar parts that you'll recognize are When September Ends and Back in Black. Keep practicing! (15 minutes a day recommended.) Hope I helped!

  2. I have the same problem.  It's just a question of working at it, which is what I'm doing.

You don't say what grade you are, but one solo I can now play quite well is "Greensleeves".  It's about grade 2, not too difficult, and you really feel that you are playing something.  Good luck.

  3. It doesn't sound to me like you're taking lessons since after three years you should be able to play a solo. I suggest you take lessons. :-)

But take solo's in sections first so it's not so daunting and impossible. Any solo is easy if you break it down. Once you figure out one measure, move on to the next, then put the two together. Just keep adding on measures. Work on your scales too.

  4. Have you seen the guitar lessons with the music you like at youtube? Its fantastic, try it out.

    Take care

  5. if you learn scales it will be easy for you .. learn pentatonic minor first, then learn pentatonic major... then ionian and then aeolian..  if you know those you will know how to solo..  study those now and thank me later... and yes i have done what my guitar teacher told me also..

  6. practice scales

    f minor/major etc
