White, who was replaced by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bailey-c1480 as the country’s T20 skipper earlier this year, admitted that his team would have loved to win these encounters in Dubai but feels that the series will help Australia’s chances in the mega event.
"We'd like to be winning, we made great steps from the first game to the second. We are heading in the right direction, and from a prep point of view this is fantastic," said White.
The conditions in UAE are quite similar to what the teams are going to face in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 for the illustrious tournament. It is widely expected that the spinners will have a major role to play in the competition and White is of the view that Australia is
lucky to have played some matches against Pakistan before the World T20, with the Green Shirts having the services of some world-class players.
"I don't think you can ask any more than what we are experiencing at the moment (in terms of preparations)," he added. "I know we are experiencing very tough conditions, very similar conditions to what we are going to experience in Sri Lanka, and against
very good bowlers."
The last T20 of the series is going to be played today at Dubai, with the Aussies looking to restore some pride and confidence before going into the all-important event.
