Playing blu-ray movies on my ps3 in 1080i?

Does the cable that comes with the ps3 ((the one that i connect from my ps3) with red white yellow slots)) support 1080i picture or do you need an HDMI cable?

  1. the hdmi cable also does sound, so you don't need to add any more cables,


  2. Those cables do not support HD.

    If you have the HD cables from your PS2 they will work, I used my HD PS2 Cables.

    You need either "Component (red green blue)" or  "HDMI" cables to get HD.

  3. no those cables that come with it only support 480i the component wire you can buy for it (green red blue and red white) will support 1080i, and hdmi supports up to 1080p and digital audio.

  4. You should get HDMI cable to get better picture - no DA and then AD conversion.
