I'm using a PS3 and have the 1080p24 set up. My TV can support 120hz, but every time I play a movie it shows the current movie at 1920x1080 at 24hz. How do I get the TV to upscale the image or is that the same thing? I'm using the Samsung 40' LN40A650

  1. 120 Hz means that the display of your TV, REGARDLESS of the input, refreshes itself at 120 Hz.

So, even though the input is 24 Hz, the TV actually displays at 120 Hz.

There is nothing else you need to do.
