T o give you an idea about myself ... im about 6'1 very physical .... lack a bit of pace ( dont know how to gain some lol) and have a very powerful left foot... i was thinking centre back or a striker ( target man )

  1. Try doing a multi stage fitness test (bleep test)

I'd say level 11+ you'll be good fitness.

  2. Go to your local gym and get a fitness test. You can also hire a fitness instructor at some gyms just for a day so that they can write you a program to follow. This will increase your fitness and not push you too hard that you cant move in the morning. Also, you can join a club and compare your fitness to your teammates. This way you will be able to see whether there is a large change in fitness needed or nothing at all.

  3. go left back 'not to exerting & if you feel ok switch to wing back ,left footers are rare so you have an advantage, and remember "let the ball do the work"

  4. Just go to your local park and play with people their. That way you can see how good you are.
