okay. so here's my little story. i'm in my high school marching band. (and please no "i'm a nerd" comments. people take marching band for granted. it's a lot of hard work. it requires a lot of coordination and precision) and ever since the first day of camp this guy kept flirting with me. well actually two guys. but one more than the other. and he was flirting with this girl too, we're in the same grade (freshman) but he's a junior. but so today we were doing these kinda tough drills and some of the drills were really strange, so my back and neck were hurting me.
so we were in formation on the field. and lucky enough for me, the guy i'm crushing on is right next to me. most of the time. so he noticed that i kept trying to crack my back and neck. (not having any success, just making them hurt more) so he started rubbing my neck and i turned around and he had that adorable smile on his face. so i smiled back. and he kept doing it.
but okay. here's my question.
whenever i meet new guys i'm kinda an *** to them. but like flirty kinda rough girl. so we were standing at attention for a long time. and so he started beat boxing. and dancing. and guys, you know this: you just act all geeky cause you think it's cool. it actually rather cute.
so i started giggling, and next thing i know: he's not even an inch from my face and he said "you got a problem with my dancing kailyn?"
now, here's another thing. my name is Calyn. Pronounced Cal-in. it's weird. yes i know. but anyway
he knows my name is calyn. but he likes to call me kailyn cause it pisses me off.
so i was like "no. i like your dancing. it's cool." sarcasm was very apparent in my voice. so he was like "do you hate me? please say you don't hate me, i would cry myself to sleep every night."
bull. ****.
but whatever. i was like "yes, i hate you. you make me sick." and so he started to "cry" on my shoulder
"please kailyn, say you don't hate me!!" and at this point the band director was checking our line. and so i just wanted him to shut up and get back into place. so i said. "yeah, whatever i dont hate you"
but meanwhile, when he was "crying" this girl that he was also flirting with was like "i don't hate you. it's okay"
pul-ease. she sounded so S****y and you could tell that she wanted him to cry on her shoulder.
so. the question is: who has the better idea?
her: acting S****y and desperate.
or me: playing hard to get, but always with that smile on my face.
(i can never keep a straight face.)
if you read this all, i applaud you.
