Playing movies on my computer?

Question

I have these movies in .AVI format

But it won't let me play them on

Windows Media Player or Quicktime player.

What can I play them on?

AVI files not playing on WMP?? I guess you are missing the codecs.. Yes VLC is a good player, but f you want to avoid downloading & installing yet another player, try updating your codec library.

Open WMP>tools>options>Player>Automatic updates Check once a week & also check the box that says download codec automatically.

Now try playing the AVI file.WMP now should say downloading codecs etc.. & it should be able to play the file.

try vlc, it plays just about anything.
