  1. Mate just push like h**l & keep those ears taped, Calflower ears is not a good look.

  2. Make sure your coaches show you how to scrummage otherwise it can get very painful. And as someone said above me, it depends on what side you're on.

  3. Hi Riley. Depending on what side of the scrum you're on... there is a tight head and a loose head prop. The LH is responsible for keeping his side of the scrum up so the hooker can see the ball when its put in the scrum...where as the TH must try to pull his side of the scrum down (without collapsing the scrum) making his oppositions job hard.  Thats the basics. Hope it helps.  Its a lot more technical nowadays.

  4. heyy, i can deffinately help you

i played prop for 6 years, and im 15 now

basically the technique for scrumming is this, for either side of the scrum- get low, so sit back on your second rows, cos when the referee says engage the drive all comes from the second rows pushing on you, the get your body very low and look up!!! always look up!! you get alot of drive from it! it puts your back in the perfect position for pushing. when you hit the other prop get your legs back along way, so your thighs are pointing directly down, for a good scrum ur knees should be maybe 8-12 inches from the ground. it takes alot of body strength though. all you gotta do when you make contact, is look up, wait for the ball to come in, then push as hard as you can :P

after the scrum your job is really to be in rucks and mauls to get the ball back to your team, or to protect the fringe or be ready to get the ball to drive it in from the side of a ruck.

and in lineouts, you're there to protect the ball when the catcher has got it, when he catches it you have to bind onto him STRAIGHT AWAY or the other team will be in there to rip it off him

if you want anymore help just email me or add me on msn

    hope i helped
