Playing uno?

Question

when you play uno, is it true you could match the number, or the color. or is it one or the other?

if someone puts a draw two, instead of drawing two, can you put a draw two/four if you have one to avoid drawing the cards

it doesn't matter there both different games ... you could play numbers and colors in the same game

You may match the color, or the number, or even both! A Wild card may also be played on any card. If you cannot play, or choose not to (you are never forced to play a card on your turn), you must draw a card. If you can play the card you just drew, you may do so. If you cannot, you put it into your hand, and it is now the next player's turn.

If a player decides to play a Wild card instead, the player of the Wild card chooses a color. The next player in line must play that color or another Wild card, or draw a card as described above.

A Wild Draw Four card may only be played if you do not have any cards that match the color of the top card or called color from the top Wild card. The card is otherwise played like a Wild card.

If a player plays a Draw Two or Wild Draw Four card, the next player in line must draw that many cards. That player's turn is then over. The player who must draw is not allowed to play any cards at all, even if they match the Draw card in some way. - LJS

you can match color and number yes.

one set of rules is that you have to draw the 2 or 4

also there is one set of rules to wear you can match a draw 2 or 4 the next person has to draw 4 or 8.

another set of rules is on the draw four you can make it to where you play the draw 4 only if you can not play anything else. Or you can play a bluff rule. People can challenge. If you did play it and had nothing else to play they draw 6 instead of 4. If they were right then they draw non.

It requires honesty on the challenge. You have to trust the people your playing with.

yes you are aloud to put a draw two or a draw four over it to deny pulling cards, also you can match both you can even put the same number over that number even if its a diffrent color

Hi, I've been playing Uno since 1986 lol  Yes, you may match the number, color, or both at the same time (i.e. yellow 7 on a yellow 7)  When someone lays down a draw two or draw four card you must pick up that amount of cards and play goes to the next person.  Picking up the cards counts as taking your turn.  On the flip side a draw four wild card may only be played if the person playing it does not have a card in his/her hand matching the color already down(the number isn't a factor)  If someone does lay down a draw four you may ask if they have the color of the previous card in their hand.  If it was an oversight and they do have that color in their hand then THEY have to draw four cards as a penalty(OUCH)  It would then be up to you to play the next card.  I hope this helps.  Have fun!
