  1. if you are going to play up, the first thing i would do is get to know the people who's team you'll be on. the worst thing you can do is be nervous and not talk to anyone, then people will think your are antisocial and not want to talk to you. so i would start convo with them first. then i would show them that you are good enough to be on a 16u team at 14. but i wouldnt worry too much about mistakes. dont get so nervous that you freak out and cant play. and if you have a bad day... dont worry about. shake it off. after that its up to your teammates and whether they will support you or not. well, i hope this helped.

  2. Just remember, they are moving you up to that age level because they think you are good and that you are ready for the extra training and will benefit the team by placing you on it.

It is a HUGE compliment to be moved up two age levels in club volleyball!  The coaches wanted you and think you will be a great asset on the team!  Be excited!!

And nervousness never hurt anyone...it's helpful to be a little nervous, because it makes you try that much harder!  Just calm down enough so that it won't get in the way of your play that your new coaches know you have in you!

    Congratulations!!!

  3. as long as your a good player which if they have you playing up you must be good you will do fine and I know this because I played up every year until now.

  4. You should be OK as long as you work hard and keep a good attitude.  Just get as much court time as you can.  You'll only get better!  Great decision to play up!

  5. Playing up is really no big deal. I am 12 and am playing on a u14 team. Playing up is really fun and i hope you enjoy it.
