Playing video. i downloaded a movie to the mp3 but when i try to play it it is telling me to use

i downloaded a movie to the mp3 but when i try to play it it is telling me to use the Phillips video converter application provided to convert files to a format that the player can read. I'm not sure if i have to purchase this converter or what. It is telling me it is provided. but where? THanx
