Playstation 3 network!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help?

Hey!

I gave bought a playstation 3, and i want to play on the internet but i cant. can anyone tell me what is going on?

I have a wireless internet, and the playstation says that it is activated, but when i enter the internet on it it says error!!!

Please anyone help!!!

I have tryied to install the internet severs but it says something about proxy servers and a lot of other things, what shall i choose???

K when your setting up the internet do the automatic setting and it should automatically detect your internet. Do you have a password? well if so that means you will have to enter it when your ps3 asks for WEP code.

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Easy > Wireless.

Scan for your wireless router (whatever you named it, the SSID).

It will then prompt you for the password if you need it.

Click OK, yes, etc till you get to the internet settings test.  Make sure it goes through all of the steps, and then it should be good.  If you're still having issues, it could be your router disconnecting you.  Try updating the router's firmware or moving your router closer to your PS3.

If not, search online for "PS3 NAT3," and they'll give you more advanced configurations in order to open the proper ports the PS3 requires if you're being blocked off by your router.  You'll need to set your PS3 to NAT2 or NAT1 for it to work properly.
