Playstation 3 question?

i have a playstation 3 that i was using an hdmi cable with on a 1080p television and it worked very well. now i am trying to use the same hdmi cord on a 720p television. the dvd looks fine except that the bottom of the screen is like skipping. it looks as if its the tracking of a vcr that is off on a tape! does anyone know what is going on? is it my cord that is too strong for the tv, or do u all think its the playstation or the tv that is having massive problems. thank for reading!

my guess is that it is not the playstation 3 since it worked fine on your 1080p television. it is probably since you are using the hdmi cord on the 720p television that the problem is there. either it's that or theres a problem with the tv itself.
