Playstation online play.?

Question

So does anyone know how this would work? Can a PS2 owner and a PS3 owner play the SAME game online with each other. For example take Star Wars Battle Front 2.

Will Sony's online world take both console users to the same server to play. Even though they have different consoles and the same game made for each console.

To be honest im not sure but you would have to have a 60gb ps3, if i could work and you might be put in different servers.
