my little boys biological father died over a year ago he was never a daddy to my little boy he is 4 now and since he was 2 he has known his step father as his daddy... his biological grandparents never hardly saw my son until is biological father died and then to spite me they filed for visitation rights to him.... that was over 7 months ago and we still havent went to court or heard anything else about it...I have alot of stuff on the grandmother that i dont think she would want brought up in court so i think i stand a pretty good chance of gettin her to sign a paper saying that she no longer wishes to have vistitaions with my son ever again..If i get such a paper noterized who thinks that has a good chance standing up in court against her so she wont ever be able to see my son...keep in mind she didnt even have anything to do with her son when i was married to him she evicted us off her land while i was in the hospital having our child

  1. You can bring up the fact that you were evicted while in the hospital. If SHE brings up the fact you had not paid rent in months, or you and her son would not work etc.It won't look good for you either hon.

Next, unless you can prove she is going to be an endangerment to your son(her grandson)you aren't going to win. They do have a right to see their grandson.Unless theya re criminals, they couldn't have been too bad,you made a baby with their son, that they raised hon.

  2. first off there are no grandparent rights.

she has asked for visitation only. but nothing has been decided.

personally if i were you, i'd move and never give her a forwarding address!

  3. The grandparents have no rights so I really  wouldn't let her bother you. If she persists get an order of protection against her. I know this personally as my daughter went thru the same thing with her in- laws  when her husband passed away. The paternal grandparents took her to court and the judge told them you have no rights other than what the mother grants you. So honestly I don't see that you have anything to worry about. Just relax and enjoy your child. Good luck.
