  1. If you have to ask what a symbol is and didnt think to use a dictionary you are not ready to compose spells or do ritual magic! Of any kind!

However a note book for occult and mystical studies is a good idea.

At this stage and given your spelling you would be better off sticking to basics like learning rhyme and metre and how to compose verse and studying images and symbols and how to use them in combination.

You also should be studying visualization and focusing your will power.

Do you have any artistic talents for creating images for focusing spells on?

    Have you studied calligraphy?

Do you know the difference between a mantra and a mandala?

Do you know what a protective circle is?

Have you contemplated what the differences and similarities are between a spell and a prayer?

    Study first spells later!

  2. 1) In your spell you need to have what you seek to accomplish, who you are calling on to help you, why you are doing this, etc.

    2) A symbol is an object, image, or word used to depict something.

    3) A beginning, a middle, and an end is needed in every spell.

    4) Speaking words is pointless, just saying something will get you no where very slowly.  You need to believe in those words and charge them with your energy.

    5) You say how every many times is necessary for the specific spell.  Sometimes more, sometimes less.

    6) The spell is complete when you are finished.

  3. I'm guessing your one of those people who don't know much about magic  and just think its cool or something and just think its fireballs and love spells. well its not like that, you've got it all screwed up. What kind of spell book exactly are you trying to make? if its witchcraft than thats what you'd call a book of shadows, its where wiccans/witches record their rituals for future use or improvement. so there really isn't such thing as making a "spell book", so here im going to answer your questions according to the wiccan rules of spell casting, ok? since your not that specific with the kind of magic you want.

1.) wiccan spells have no specific requirements, but they need to have the basic components to work. you need to call upon a power or authority, i mean like a god or deity. you can even ask nature for help, like the tree's or maybe the nymphs or the universe. you have to have an intention of course, spells are exactly like prayers. you may have noticed sometimes that spells rhyme, thats because when you rhyme the gods or the forces you ask are more pleased with the rhyming, its the creativity that makes them happy. again you don't have to rhyme, it just works a little more effective if you do. your spell cant just be words, otherwise it wouldn't work as well, the more effort you put in a spell the more effective its going to be so you'll probably be needing crystals, herbs, etc. etc. (magic is almost like a study), but make sure you know which herbs are for what and the same with crystals.

2.) a symbol is used to represent the power you call for, like a signature for the force you are dealing with or asking help from. in spells, symbols are used in the form of seals, you use them as representation of the god you are praying to. other symbols represent idea's like the pentacle and the triple crescent.

3.) no you don't always need a symbol, but it helps, again, more effort means more effective

4.) no you  don't just say it, you have to mean it, and you have to be able to prepare a ritual, not just words in a paper that you'll say whenever you want. sometimes you have to sit in a circle or maybe stand while holding a crystal, it really depends on the spell your going to make. as much as possible make your self as involved with everything, try sitting, or Indian sitting, closing your eyes or lying down, it depends on you.

5.) again how many times you have to say matter on the spell your gonna make, if you feel you have to do the whole ritual again, then do it again. if you prepared the ritual to be done once a day for a week then follow the rules you made for your ritual.

6.) if you've followed every procedure you've prepared for it, then your complete. if you did the steps you made for your spell perfect, then tis complete. just remember that more effort then more effective.

hope i helped, magic is like a study, you'll have to do a lot of research because i cant just say everything here. there's mroe to it than you think.

  4. How old are you?

  5. Be careful if you're going to mess around with witchcraft and that's all I know.

  6. How can you write a spell book without knowing anything about them or magic itself?Magic is energy, and it isn't black, white or gray, its all about the user's intent.

Spells are personal to the witch/practitioner and the best ones are the ones you write yourself. My advice, go read a  few more books before writing your own.

    Quick things-

    1) You should have whatever i t is you need to accomplish in the spell, as well as thanking and asking of a deity or spirit if that is needed.Always be specific to make sure this is what you want

    2) A symbol is a representation of something.

    3) Always needed in every spell, depends n what spell you are doing.Same supplies for one spell won't be the same for another.Usually candles are sued in every spell, specific herbs...

4)You have to focus when doing a spell, concentrate on your intent more than the words coming out fo your mouth, words are just vocalization.

    5) How many times you think are needed for the spell,as well depending on what type fo spell.

    6) Spells are a bit like prayer and faith, you know when you know....

As I said before, you should do more Reading before you write this book.As well i don't think a person who has as little knowledge about this specific subject should be writing a book on it.

  7. Write whatever you want.

Either way, it won't come true, so why bother following the rules?
