  1. try this website

    http://www.hoteltopten.com/london-hotel....

they listed the best value hotels in london

  2. london is actually very expensive, finding a cheap hotel means living in ****

check out www.expedia.com and you will  see the cheapest hotels in london

  3. What you need is to find a booking engine that allows you to filter your results by price and compares all of the hotels and accommodation places in London.

But don't get hung up on price. Think of value for money , journey time to where you have to get to and transport costs, food , amenities and facilities - all cost money and can be of value in your inclusions.

This site should let you find what you need :

    London : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

Cheap areas in London are :

    Paddington : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

    Earls Court : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

    Kensington: http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Unite...

You will find cheaper areas, but i figured you also want to be close to the West End.

  4. These are suggestions for low cost centrally located hotels. Some small, some large.

    --------------

The Royal Adelphi hotel is a tiny little walk-up hotel next to Charing Cross station in the center of London. A single with private bath is £75 .

The Strand Palace hotel is also centrally located. This is the largest of the old hotels. Singles can be very cheap, but they are like army barracks.

Premier Inn is a relatively low cost chain in England. They have a nice location called "London county hall" which is the old government building for the former County of London. Premier Inn shares the building with the much more expensive Marriott Hotel. It is very near the BA ferris wheel.

    ---------------------

These are regions of the city that are not as centrally located, but that are known for more reasonably priced rooms.

    ---------------------

Bloomsbury has more reasonably price accomodations, but it is a long walk to anything except the British Museum and King's Cross.

Earl's Court is known for cheap accomodations, but it is not walking distance. You have to take the tube.

Look for bed and breakfasts in the area around Victoria Station.

Small hotels in the vicinity of Paddington station.
