Please, help.?

Question

i am young, and would like to try to make it, before i get too old. i can play piano well, write songs, and am taking singing lessons. i do, it because i love it. but, i would love for people to hear my songs, and love them. i would like to know where to start. should i

a.) get an agent

b.) send a cd to record labels

c.) plays gigs.

also, my dad is known, in the industry. and knows, some people.

also, any sites, anything, experience, it can help me.

if your dad has connections, ask him! also, you can create a music myspace page. that is where a lot of people get noticed.

okay something easier is to get a music myspace SO MANY artists have got noticed by that and u can get peoples true opions about your music before yo like stop everything to do something that might not work :) good luck

If you have a dad with connections, then do all 3.  Normally record companies will not listen to an unsolicited cd. But your dad might be able to make some calls and get them to listen to them. You absolutly should be playing gigs. YOu must learn the basics for live performance, and you can get an agent (eventually) to help you find such gigs.
