I dont believe shes' helpless--I remember during world war 2 she was driving trucks, I believe and I think I heard somewhere that she was mechanically inclined.

  1. Considering the generation she grew up in, I'm sure that she acn not only cook, but bake well as well.

I doubt that she cooks these days, with the bevy of chefs at her disposal...though..she's the Queen..so if she wants to cook, she gets to cook. :)

  2. I bet she can whip up something...she keeps outdoor pets and gardens and such.  I don't get the idea that she wouldn't do something like cook.

  3. she can cook.....but not beans.....she said it makes her f**t

  4. I'm sure she can, when she was first married (and still Princess Elizabeth) she lived with the Duke of Edinburgh in Naval Married Quarters in Malta, where the Duke was stationed.  They lived in the same accomodation as other officers of his rank and didn't have the staff that would normally accompany the heir to the throne.

  5. She's not stupid!!! Yes she is Mechanically inclined! She has smarts and stuff she just decided not to do things....it was a decision not out of stupidity! I mean women if you can get a lot of men to do stuff for you wouldn't u?

  6. I think she can cook...But doesn't have too.

    -SS (:-Smiling Star-:)

  7. I have seen her on documentaries where she (and the family) do a bit of BBQing

but this was a long time ago

  8. Much the same as my family, I can cook (to a certain extent) but my wife insists on doing the cooking, so I sit back and let her :)

  9. doubt it she has no idea what goes on in the real world so i would be surprised if she could boil an egg.

  10. I dont know why anyone is doubting her cooking skills! before she even knew she was going to be queen she probably could cook! If she can drive a land Rover defender then whipping up a cottage pie is nothing in her busy day.

  11. i am sure she can.

but with all her maids and cooks butlers would you. i wouldn't like it i would have to do my own.

  12. They still sometimes do the family barbeque thing or at least they did within the last several years, it's been traditionally Prince Philip who has been the main chef on those occasions (and he's got this major barbecue wagon of his own creation) but the Queen lends a hand--and the family do the cleaning up themselves as well!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if on occasion she goes into the kitchen and cooks something, especially when on vacation at a (somewhat) smaller residence.

  13. Cook? She probably doesn't even blow her own nose.

  14. i'm sure she knocks up the odd beans on toast from time to time...its just that she doesnt have to cook...probably can though.

  15. i don't know about her  cooking anymore, but I'm sure in her youth she did when she was in the land army. and yes you heard correctly she is/was a trained mechanic and could take a part and put back together a engine

  16. She's ought to...how else can the family hide the carcass of animals when bumbling Prince Phil goes shooting everything in sight.  Imagine the furor caused by animal activists and the calls of getting rid of the monarchy.

I guess they're going to call for me head now...

  17. I think she can but doesn't have to,same as she knows how to change a car tyre but, doesn't have to.

  18. she thinks a kitchen is a forgein head of state lol
