looks like a cheap knock off. and its more your skill level whether or not u can catch waves

you can ride waves on pretty much any skim board but you need the rite place to do it and it takes a long time to learn how to surf on skimboards.

thats if you mean when you run from the shore then skim into a wave then do a turn and hit the barrel
