Please HELP!!..Can I foward my UPS Package to a different address while it's in transit?

Question

Will I'm able to foward my package to a different address while it's in transit? because I won't be available the day it arrives, (8/17/07) and I don't have anyone to stay at my home but me..and I don't want the UPS guy to leave a front of my door and might get stolen..I called the UPS and I was told to call the shipper so I did, they said they can't cause it's already been shipped, any luck?

Sorry!  I had the same thing happen with a birthday present for my fiance.  I accidentally put the wrong street number in the computer.  The only way I was able to get it changed was the morning that it went out for delivery the dispatcher called the driver.  You will have to contact your local UPS office and see if they can intercept the package and mail it back to the sender, but they can't change the address in transit! You can also leave a note on your door for the driver to return it to the sender OR to bring it on a day that you will be available.
