Please HELP me with rmy new room!!

Question

ok so my parents are letting me re-do my room *snaps* hahahhahaha ok i LOVE broadway and i was thinking of doing broadway/nyc themed room. but this is what i already have for my room. dark brown furniture, pink and white bed spread. but i dont really think pink and white is broadway-ish! lol so what do u suggest for my walls that will look really cool and kinda nyc and broadway themed? im going to hang my playbills and some nyc pix on my walls framed, and i will have my broadway books and other stuff on my desk to make it more themed. any suggestions for walls???? my floor is going to be wood [light] but for now its light tan like carpet. thanks! if you have any wall suggestions, things i can make, or just plain ideas share them!!!!

alright well i wish i could re-do my bedroom the way i wanted but i'll help YOU first:

1--get a vanity table with a mirror hung on the wall that has lightbulbs surrounding it, like in a celebrity's dressing room

2--for your walls you should do something like this (http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/how-...

except use maybe a star border in the middle of the wall and paint below it navy blue and the top part white (or reverse it)

3--for your ceilings, buy those glow-in-the-dark stars and stick them all around your celing so when you go to bed, it's like your in the city looking up at the bright starry sky lol (this would look great if you did tip number 2)

4--you furniture should be  dark, rich looking furniture maybe espresso color.... you could decorate like a swanky hotel room.... the theme could be like your own hotel in new york city.

5--you should definitely get posters of broadway plays (such as lil shop of horrors, mama mia, lion king, etc) and place them in frames the same color of your furniture. Hang them along the wall. (hotels/motels usually have framed art work on their walls!)

i think you should think of your favorite musical then go on yahoo images and get about 10 pictures from that musical that you really like.

then when you get them all together

ask your parents to pick their 5 favorite and

then start from there

get the colors and patterns from what you see in the picture

deep walls, either a dee red or purple if u like, or grey or black, with framed posters of plays u like around, with a red carpet in a main part of your room, or the entire floor if you would like, wiht spotlights in the corners(i've seen them at like Spencers, i belive walmart has them as well) and keep it dimply lit, with cordination of colors that revolve around read and look good in random lighting. a nice mirror with lights around it, or just in a different desing, can really add a nice touch, and for the bedspread, could u get a new one? if not, then i guess taht on'es okayish, but like u said, it doens't go well with the rest of the room. i'd suggest and black/grey one with some white in it.
