Please Help! 10pts! How do I get online with my ps3 via a wired connection?

Ok. I do not have a router. Am I able to connect an ethernet cable from my ps3 to my computer and be able to sign up for the ps network. Also if I can where do I plug in the ethernet cable to my computer??

Wired and/or wireless, your going to have to have a router. It sucks..but that's life. I hope this helped.
