  1. I'm sure you will be fine if you just talk to one of the heads on your induction day. It may depend on how many people want to do the same subjects as you and how big the classes are. Good luck!

  2. Yeah at my school its a B grade, but I'm sure if you show how determined you are to do well at these subjects they should let you on the course!

    good luck!

  3. Ofcourse you can silly! a C grade IS A PASS.

sixth form required like 'atleast' 4 passes. I bet u have like 6-10 subjects so 6-10 passes are good and MANY schools accept that!

  4. You need to talk to your head of 6th form and some of the subject teachers. Most 6th forms that I've come across DO ask for at least a B grade GCSE in the subjects you want to study, but it's not set in stone. If the teachers think you could cope with the demands of the A Level, I'm sure they'll let you continue.

  5. You can almost certainly still go to sixth form, but probably not to study A levels. You need to have a good long think about what it is you want to do - struggling with a highly academic course when you barely passed GCSE simply isn't going to be it.

If you feel you can do better at GCSE, then why not plan to take 3 years at sixth form, and retake your GCSEs? Then you'll be much better equipped to tackle A levels. Alternatively, look into doing a less academically based course - this may involve going to a college rather than a school's sixthform.

Remember, people aren't saying you can't go to sixthform because they are mean and nasty. They're saying it because they know that people with C grades at GCSE are just going to have an awful time trying to get to A level standard, and they don't want you to put yourself through that.

  6. sixth forms should be more than willing to keep you on if you willing and able, sixth form is about more than just taking classes, i only had 1 B and a C and a bunch of D's , i was able to stay and do a A level, I became head girl and did a huge amount for the moral of the sixth form at the time, its about who you are as a person and what you want to get out of life, 6 form was the best time in my life and i look back fondly even tho i didn't finish the A level it gave me more than enough to start my life on the right footing, go for it and don't take NO for a answer!

  7. Depends on your school.

Most will accept a C in the subject you want to do, or a related subject, but some will only accept B's or A's. Try contacting the school to find out, if they won't accept you then try other schools or colleges in the area.

  8. of course u can!! u have to be most serious when u get to ur a-levels, coz that's the stage that decides ur life about ur career and stuff. so make sure u concentrate when u get to sixth form. its really bad for my brother coz he got all A grades in his gcse's but in his a-levels he got c and e grades. now he has to switch schools and think of getting another job than the one he dreamed of...so that's the stage u should be worrying about. u have to go to sixth form now!

    good luck! x*x

  9. yes, you have passes stop worrying and get your bum to VI form.
