My tank has all of a sudden become extremely cloudy. Can anyone help as to why this might be and also how to fix it. I have check the PH and cleaned the filter which seems to have cleared it up a tiny bit. I have two small oscars and a pictus in the tank. Thanks!

  1. I think you may have been feeding them too much. The cloudiness is definitely caused my too many bacteria, its the only thing that makes the water cloudy. And they will be using the oxygen that ur fish need and also altering the PH of the water, so it could kill ur fish, its dangerous for them, as sudden changes in PH stress them a lot, and can kill them.

I would change the water, and dont feed too much. I used to have the bacteria tabs for the nitrogen cycle that ur meant to set up to keep them healthy and consume waste, and they made the water a bit cloudy, but it said on the packet that this would happen and that it was safe and so far they have been ok. But generally, sudden cloudiness can be dangerous.
