Please Help...I'm a little scared!?

About 3 months ago I started a new birth control pill. 6 days before my period was due I was spotting a little. Just a little pink then mostly brown. It was only present when wiping and occured in the morning and at night. I am supposed to start my period on Wednesday. Yet, I just went to the restroom and am bleeding. It is a dark red color. I have been under some stress due to family issues and returning to work. I still have one day of an active pill and then will start the iron pills on Wed.

What could be happening?

If you just started using the pill then it may take a couple more months to even your period out.  Remember that the bills are suppressing your ovaries' functioning but the use of hormones.  The hormones need to build up in your system to work properly.  Take the iron pills as schedules.  You might continue bleeding but I doubt it.
