I am about 34 weeks pregnant. With my first son, it was a breeze. We found a name that stuck way before we were this far along. His name is Keon Leevi (Levi). We are not sure what we are having this time around and I don't have a name!!! I'm like the name Koen (co-in) and I need help with a middle name for a boy. Preferably a middle name that starts with L but if someone has something that goes with Koen that would be great. Also, I need help with a girls name. I would like that to start with either a K or M and go well with her (if it's a girl) brothers name Keon.

So... to recap....

1. A middle name for Koen... preferably starting with an L.

2. If it's a girl... a name that starts with a K or M *(u can also give a middle name if you'd like)

ps. we would also like the name to have a meaning... not necessarily religious but promising :)

thank you so much... im running out of time and i worried i won't have a name when i go to the hospital...

  1. The meaning of the name Koen is priest in Hebrew.  This name is a JEWISH LAST NAME.  Are you sure that that is a name you want to give your child?  As a Jew, it is offensive to me to see people using this name as a first name when they don't understand the traditions and history surrounding our culture.  You did research the name and know it means priest, but in actuality, in Judaism, a priest is a rabbi.

    Here is more information:

The Cohen surname, common among Eastern European Jews, often indicates a family claiming descent from Aaron, brother of Moses and the first high priest, for the Hebrew kohen meaning priest. Some Jews, when faced with being drafted into the Russian Army, changed their surname to Cohen because members of the clergy were exempt from service. The German surname KAPLAN is related, deriving from "chaplain" in German.

    Surname Origin:

    Hebrew

    Alternate Surname Spellings:

KOHEN, COHN, KAHN, KOHN, CAHN, COHAN

  2. I don't like matchy names for siblings. They're individuals and should have their own name. But if you must, Cohen is best spelled correctly, the traditional Gaelic way. Koen looks horrible and will never be spelled correctly.

    Cohen Lief

    Cohen Lux

    Cohen Linus

    Cohen Lane

    Cohen Leo

    Cohen Leonardo

Cohen Lennox (LEN iks)  [Another Gaelic name]

EDIT: I suppose Coen would be slightly better, but really the traditional Gaelic spelling is best. The h is silent.

Cohen is one of my favorite Gaelic names. Cheers for choosing it.

Other Boy Gaelic names starting with C or K:

    Caedmon (KAD mon)  "Wise warrior"

    Cáel (KAY el)  "slender"

Ciarán (KEER ahn)  "Little dark one"

Keagan (KEE gan)  "Son of Aodhagáin"

Keelan (KEE lan)  "Slender and fair"

Oh, and for a girl how about these female Gaelic names?

  14. Honestly I hate both names but I think Wyatt is a good middle name for Kohen

  15. No no no, PLEASE don't do Keon and Koen. Nobody could tell them apart and it's not very creative.

It IS switching letters. I mean, of course you like the name, it's basically your first son's name.

  16. I dont think that you should switch one letter and give your second child a very similar name. I think that it should Be HIS name.

For a girl, I like the names Mylah and Kayla.

  17. Wait your first sons name is Keon and you want to name this one if it's a boy, Koen? Isn't that going to be a little confusing? What about,

    Kole Landon

    Keegan Laken

    Cole Linden

    Girls:

    Kristina Marie

    Kylie Rebecca

    Mallorie Isabella

    Molly Kamden

  18. I think Koen is a really cute name... but it is very strange to have Keon and Koen.  It's kind of like having Michael and Michelle... really?!

    What about

    Coen Lind

    Kayden/Cayden Lias

    Keegan Lawrence

    Kadence/Cadence

    Michel (Mick-elle) Lynn

Madaleigh (natalie with an m?) Michelle

    just some thoughts!

  19. Koen Liron (Christina Aguelira named her son Max Liron)

    Koen Lloyd

    Koen Lambert

    Koen Lee

    Koen Lane

    Koen Lewis

    Koen Lenval
