Please Help! Liberty Dimes!?!??!

My Grandmother has 1938-1945 liberty dimes....she wants to know if there worth anything or what she should do with them... please help!!!!

  1. Not likely that you have anything that's all that valuable.

    Very nice as a collection for sentimental value as a family heir-loom.  Take them to a coin show to see if a collector can value them for you.

    If you list the the year, the mint mark, and the condition for each coin, you might find the value on e-bay or the internet.

    You can also pick up a copy of a coin magazine at any book store listing current values for a few dollars.

    They make a very nice present to a young grand-son to help him get started in coin collecting.  Just tell him not to "spend" the money.  Sell the money instead as you might have a few, nice, hard-to-find coins that might be worth 10 or 15 dollars.


  2. If they show the normal amount of wear, they are only worth about $0.80 - $ 1.00 a piece. Unless one of them is the 1942 misprint, where you can see the 2 printed over  1 on the date. Those coins are rare and worth $300.00 - $400.00.

    Edit:

    If they were never in public circulation and are in excellent condition, they could be worth $30.00 a piece.
