Question:

Please Help! Looking for board games from my childhood.....?

Growing up in South Africa, I used to play 2 different board games I would now love to own.

The first was called Opinions, it was a debating game and the second was called Map Mania, a game involving geography.

I am now in Canada and I can not find these games or anything about them, no matter where I look. Can anyone help me track these games down, new or good condition second hand?

  1. Couldn't find them on ebay.  Still looking.  I'll let you know what

    I find.

  2. There are several game stores in Toronto, so you might check them out - they might be able to give you leads about where to find old games.  I have often had luck finding old things at places such as Salvation Army stores and thrift stores.  Also if there is an auctioneer in your area, touch base with them and let them know about the games as they often do estate sales and all kinds of things turn up there.

  3. I bet that you could find them on ebay. You can find ANYTHING on ebay and I do mean anything. I would try there first and if you can't find it there you maybe can try like amazon.com or somewhere like that. I know that this isn't much help but it may help a little and I hope that it does. Good luck hunting.

  4. I have "opinions" - brand new. However I've lost the rules, and we never play it anymore.

If you mail me your postal adress I will courier it to you. I was planning to throw it away anyway.

  5. Boardgamegeek.com is about the best site for this research:

    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/23876

One user there has a copy up for trade.

As for Map Mania, I do not find much:

    Is that it?
