  1. Purple

  2. Brown, maybe...?? White?? I don't know!

  3. Well the guy that told you the c**p about a roan is not very intelligent. Because a roan is not just one color there are blue roans red roans, I should know i have a couple roans in my heard. plus who lives in Grants tomb, what color is Abs green gun?

  4. it was white

  5. I just looked this up on the internet and found a reference to Tiger horses as being the type Henry IV had.  These were various colors but the one of interest I noticed was a roan which is a mixture of white and black or brown hairs.  As young horses they appear to be grey or off-white with some darker dapples (spots).  As they get older the darker grey turns white (as with humans) and the horses change to white.  If you look at pictures of Spectacular Bid (Ky. Derby winner) racing vs today at stud you can see this difference.

Of course it may have been just a white horse but I like my story better...roan is the color (colour)

***In response to the posting after mine, I'm a pretty bright guy.  My info on roans becoming white with age is true regardless of what particular color preceeds the word roan.  Also, in your description of horses you own the reference you made was to having a couple of roans, not red/blue/etc. roans.  So maybe the color is not roan but the horse type is a roan.  Just like a bay would be brown for the color or dark bay, dark brown, chestnut = redish brown etc.  Bottomline this is all just for fun isn't it?
