  1. You are totally sweating way too much over a girl.  Chill the h**l out before you scare her to death!

  2. She has forgotten about you! She met a studly Marine at GLNB!

  3. There is a lot of mail back up at the recruit training in great lakes. From when you shipped it, it probably took 3-4 days for that letter to get in her hand. Even if she wrote you a letter back that night, you wouldn't recieve it for 3-4 days. You gotta be patient. You will probably get a letter from her within the next week or two.

  4. She should have gotten it by now a week is long enough. They get time to write but it's not that much.Sometimes they only get enough time to write one person(maybe she wrote parents). But if it doesn't come by next week she maybe avoiding you but don't give up on her too easily.

  5. Be patient, it may take a few weeks!  They are extremly busy and only get a little amount of time to write letters.  I am sure you will get a letter.  I have family members deployed, and always remember this - No News is Good News.

  6. 1st... they do NOT read her mail (or anyone else's mail). The DI's can and Will remove anything considered contraband, but they do not read your mail.

It takes 3-4 days for mail to get to recruits in basic training... If she writes you a letter back it will take 3-4 days to get back to you.

Generally, recruits have a few minutes every evening to write letters and they are encouraged to write letters every day.

  7. First it depends how long she's been there. If about 2 or 3 weeks, she might have gotten it by now and will have to write on her Sunday. If she has time, if not then most likely she will the next Sunday. Don't fret over it. Take it easy. Plus you can keep writing her everyday, it's like Christmas when they get letters so keep her encouraged, I'm sure she's reading them. Write her again! I recommend it. Also go to http://www.mynavyonline.com to learn more about what she might be going through! I'm KJC88 there.

Good luck and it was very nice of you to write to her one letter, but writing some more won't hurt. :D

  8. yes sunday they get most of their free time. but she could be really busy and not have time. Just be patient. and it could take a little for mail to travel im not really sure about that. and my boyfriends in the army and he said sometimes the drill sargent just leaves and says forget mail if they get into trouble. so just wait

  9. Have you ever been to boot camp!?  They don't exactly have all the time in the world to write letters.  They're constantly busy, so don't expect anything right away.  She will get a chance to write back sooner or later.  Maybe she doesn't have any envelopes or stamps, and she hasn't been allowed to get any.  Military boot camp is hardcore military training.  It's not like a little camping trip.  Just give it time, man.
