Please Help Me My cat is over loving ?

Question

I have a male cat who is about 10 years old and I have raised him since a month after birth when his mother died. I fed him with a bottle and everything. Recently my cat has gotten Obsessed with loving me. He is always rubbing up against me, talks to me (meows a lot) and he always needs to be near me when I'm at home. Is there any way to stop him from being like this? I don't want to hurt him emotionally. I love him like a son.

Ok don't think I'm whacked, but my one kitty does this to me when she wants something, like clean our her litter box, or feed her some different food, or I cant find my toy, after years of knowing what she does and when I get up she follows me taking me to what she wants ITS SO WEIRD!! Maybe your baby is trying to tell you something.. maybe that he isn't feeling well.. my other kitty had anal gland problems and she used to come to me all the time trying to get me to wipe her bum with a warm cloth!! Is there anything he can be trying to tell you? Has anyone moved in or moved out? or you changed jobs or find other things to do that he doesn't want you to do? KITTIES RULE!!

Aw , he prob just wants to cuttle alot cause it's depressed or he misses you alot.

aw my cat is like this but shes a persian so thats her personality type! In fact she is sleeping in my arms like a baby right now

Just be glad your cat loves you...lol...It could be a little meany like mine.

Oh, and I'm with the other chick. My cat follows me a lot when she wants something....

awww...that's soo cute, just talk to it softly, just say "stay ___(name)"

or something, it'll learn, or if not then ummm ask a vet they're pros! And can you send a pic. of your kitty to me!!! please! I love cats I think they're wonderful!
