  1. My little sister who in her defence is 4 done this before, it's not the right type of water, they haven't got no food or nutrition. Also tap water is a lot different to river water.

Tap water can be chalky to

my advice leave them in the river

    Hope i helped

  2. i also got some glassfish from a park in virginia i caught them so easy with a big net, when i got home i just putted them in a container filled with their dirty water from the park, i inmeadetly checked to see fungus or ick, then i putted it with my goldfish in a 20 gal tank, yes they can die from a sudden change in their ph it shocks them but my fish survived because i checked the water parameters from the tank and they were similar to the pond's water but ur fish must've died from shock

  3. yes you did not add declorinator to the water or check that the ph is the same in the tank as it is in the river

and no fish should have to live in bowls

  4. Exactly as Finatic said.

  5. It is because of the water. Just leave them in the river.

  6. Tap water has chemicals in it! iT KILLS FISH! iF YOU WANT TO HAVE FISH YOU CATCH FROM A RIVER, YOU need TO KNOW THE SPECIES. tHAT WAY YOU CAN FEED THEM THE RIGHT FOODS. yOU ALSO NEED A FILTER, AND WATER CONDITIONER. ONCE A WEEK TAKE OUT 25%  and dechorinate some water and re-fill it. Sry about the caps loc, im just to lazy to go back and re-type it. lolz!! Well, yea. Know the species b4 catching it. if you give them water you need to use water conditioner to take out all harmfull chemicals for fish.

  7. You can NEVER use water straight from the tap for fish.  Tap water contains toxic chemicals that must be neutralized with a tap water treatment that neutralizes the chlorine and chloramine.  Also, you should NEVER keep fish in bowls.  The fish's waste will build up and kill the fish.

Wild caught fish typically need large tanks with filters and should not be kept as a general rule unless you really know what you're doing.
