Here's a picture of her just for fun

Ok, She apparently is allergic to bugs

She got a bee stong and her face swelled up and I ran her to the vet and they gave her benadryll and said if it happens again give her benadryll.

Well, she got some ants on her and got bumps on her leg

Then she got a few mosquito bites and they got pretty big

Now she has a bump on her lip

It looks kinda like a pimple I guess

Small red and definitely fluid filled

I didn't think much of it because I know dogs get little bumps

But it's gotten bigger and redder and a small one started forming near it

I'm going to ask my trainer in a few days what it is

I just wanted to know if anyone knew anything that would make me feel a little better till then

  1. My dog got one today! Right on her lip! It's a scab, I think because i kept trying to put my finger in her mouth (don't ask) and i poked her with my finger to hard! Whoops!

  2. The same thing happened to my dog! It was terrible, my dog's WHOLE FACE swelled up. she looked TERRIBLE! We just gave her some benadryl and it went down after two days. Sorry about your pup, I know how you feel, I freaked out when I saw my dog's face. Just try to take your mind off it and you'll feel better, I'm sure she'll be okay. My pup is really sensitive to bug bites, I guess your's is too.

  3. DUH   benadryl!!!!! Beautiful puppy...

  4. wow your dog is pretty sensitive...some dogs can be allergic to plastic bowls and their chin and lips breakout..not sure if this is the problem, but if you do have plastic food and water bowls try changing them to either ceramic or stainless steel.

  5. I think wenever she goes to eat a bug tap her on the nose and say no.I have a puppy named Annie and my sister has a puppy named Lady. And we have an older dog named Daisy. She likes to eat flys.Your puppy will  sooner or later figure it out that it hurts and will stop.

  6. wow - how cute is that!

you need to take her to the vet for the lip lumps - if it were an allergy, it would grow very quickly - it sounds more like an infection or a wart.

doin't bother with the benadryl - that only works for allergies.

  7. Bring her to a vet, only a vet can properly diagnose and treat your dog. It is better to be safe than sorry.

    Good luck.
