Please Help: Palm Centro?

I bought the palm centro a few months ago and I absolutely loved it, until today when I looked down and my Hotsync was on and it wouldn't go away, then after about a few hours of it being on that it started vibrating and wouldn't stop, its like the screen froze. So I took the battery off and now my phone won't come on at all. What is wrong with it and if I took it back to the store would I get a new phone for free or how would it work?
