Okay, i've been scouring the net for information on Infrared Sound, and all I could find is what I already knew, which is the syptoms of exposure. Can anyone give me a list of common Infrared Sound sources? All I know so far is church organs and turbines. Also I'd like to know It's range, or an equation for it if possible. The reason I i'm interested is because everyone in my house is experiencing the symptoms of exposure, which include... Discomfort, Strange or Surreal Feelings, Disturbed Sleep, Urge to Urinate and Lump in Throat. If you don't have any Infrared Sound information, any information you have on other possiblities would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks a lot.

  1. You mean infrasound, not infrared sound, right?  Infrared typically refers to electromagnetic radiation.  Infrasound is connected with large but distant catastrophic events, such as thunder, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.  So it is natural that we would respond with a feeling of dread.  You can make yourself an infrasound detector by the third link below.  You can learn to sense and identify infrasound with practice based on the feeling it creates.

I would be very careful with your diagnosis, however.  What you describe could be the symptoms of something much more dangerous.  Look at the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning in the final link.  Notice that this is responsible for most haunted houses and ghost sightings.  It is also responsible for killing many people each year.  Get a CO detector at the hardware store, and get any combustion (gas, oil, coal, barbecue, etc) appliance inpspected immediately before anybody dies!

  2. they're also the symtoms for high levels of background radiation, you should get that checked.

  3. infrared sound? it is not sound but electromagnetic radiation, its wavelength is to long to be audible to humans. Infrared is basically just another word for heat.
