I´m just discovering the world of paintball battles, I want to buy my first marker and I want a gun with good precision. What should I look for in a marker so I have a precise weapon? would the spyder shutter be a good option? Thanx!

  1. I agree with paco I'd get a tippmann 98 or a5 depending on how much you want to spend... With stock parts accuracy will be the same as almost all other markers...but for either gun I'd reccomend a flatline barrel for precision... The barrel is expensive but its worth it for the added range and accuracy... Plus tippmanns are great starter guns that will last forever.

  2. no offense to either of you but your both wrong accuracy in paintball markers depends on alot of things not just barrels. The MOST important thing is the quality of paint you shoot. the better the paint the better the accuracy then comes paint/bore match, and a really good option for this is a barrel kit. A REALLY good barrel kit is the evil pipe, which is on www.firstcallpaintball.com for 50.00!!!! also the gun does make a big difference and a good option is either a 98 or an ion both are very customizeable and not very expensive. any more questions and ill be happy to help. always glad to help a new paintballer

  3. Nowmatter what they say all paintball markers have about the same accuracy. Its really the barrel paintball match. The only part of the gun that will effect accuracy is if it has a special bolt called a venturi bolt, and even its effect are minimal. So for any gun you buy, get an upgraded barrel. A J&J performance ceramic barrel is great and only 30 dollars, you will notice a great increase in accuracy. Also make sure your gun is set to around 280-300 fps for best accuracy. Another thing would be to get a paintball that matches your barrel, it should be snug in the barrel but you should be able to blow it out with a little air from your mouth, if the ball rolls out its too small.

For a gun i would not buy any kind of spyder, there very unreliable. I suggest a tippmann 98 custom, its very reliable and very upgradeable, and impossible to break.

  4. I would not get a spyder, I would get a Tippmann for a newbie.  But "accuracy" means nothing in the sport of paintball.  You're not able to sit back and "snipe".  If you can hit someone from hidden in the bushes, they can hit you back.  The best thing to do is to spray an area where you see an enemy, which would mean you need a quick shooting gun.  Once you have your Tippmann for a while, I would move up to a Dye Proto, or 05 Ego.
