Please Help me With Ambulances and paramedics ????

Right, I have to do a presentation today on Ambulance and paramedic technology. It will be my final grade for my whole college life!! Please could you give me some ideas on what sort of technology they have and use that helps them in their role....

12-lead ECGs, the transmitting and reading of the 12-lead prior to EMS arrival has increased the patient outcomes by getting them into the cath lab, it has increased patient outcomes by 50 percent.

well you have the basic stuff like:

Automated External Defibrillator (AED, or Defib)

The Stretchers, (they have improved a great deal since the first WW)

Stomach Pumps

Oxygen, Nitrus oxide (laughing gas)

Pulse Ox

the Bandages

the Drugs.

Flashing Lights

Gps

Looking back at the list theres really not much 'new' technology, just improvements on the existing ones.

I don't know what equipment the modern ambulance has inside, but modern paramedics do. Why don't you pop in to your local ambulance station or hospital and ask them. In my experience they are always happy to chat. Incidently, nitrous oxide no longer makes you laugh. It was the inpurities in it that used to cause that. My preferred use however is injecting it into your car engine, to great effect!!!
