I have absolutely NO IDEA how it should be! I know I like Canon in D for the processional OR my entrance, and Ecc. 4:9-12 for one of the readings

But thats it. What else do I need? How was yours?

  1. You could write your own vows, you could have a family member recite a favorite poem, or have someone sing a love song...or the lighting of a unity candle.

Try going to 'The Knot' dot com. It's a great place for ideas from the ceremony to the reception.

I can spend hours perusing the site.

    Good luck and congratulations!!

  2. Well, this depends upon who is performing your ceremony, and where. If a pastor/priest in a church, there is a set ceremony. For a jp or civil wedding, they have guidelines, but I think you can change things. But you need to get in touch with them.

This is close to what our ceremony was like (but ours was all done in Ukrainian, the site is English).

  3. Buy some Brides magazines - they usually have 'to do lists' and 'countdowns to the big day'

Make a scrapbook and cut out things you like as it helps you to plan.

Think of a theme for the wedding as that will help you choose things like music, clothing, flowers, cakes, cars, stationary  etc...as it will co-ordinate in colour and style.

My scrapbook is a great memory of how I organised my wedding - all by myself.

People will see you as a beautiful swan drifting along on the day...they won't know that underneath your legs paddled really fast to get to that perfect moment! Good Luck!
