  1. first being a vegetarian is the best , soy meat is good for your body to have some nutrition even on a diet , don't skip meals.the GNC stores have shakes that you can make at home to cut you appetit but still gives your body what it needs.also GNC have those whole body cleanser kit ,that you do for 1 week ,they help your body clear from stuff that is keeping your body from getting skinny.i do that , and it works

  2. WTF chill out!! Exercise!!! Jog, run, walk, jump rope!!

  3. well being a vegetarian doesn't help at all. since you mostly eat carbs now. carbs is a source of energy that turnss into fat if not burned off. so you can't lose weight without excercising obviously. So If you don't sweat when you work out. it means your not burning any fat. but check your BMI. I don't even think u need to loose weight at all.

  4. Simple.  You just have to burn more than you take in.  And everything in moderation.  Otherwise you are just setting yourself up for failure.

  5. i would run. whenever you run, or do some type of exercise like that, it will help you to lose weight.

and also, you could try googling work out ideas or something. and some healthy foods. mmm special k!

  6. Get yourself that book called Skinny ****** (and Skinny ****** in the Kitch for recipes if you like it) - totally amazing results. Sure, it's drastic, but it's healthy.

PS - I added the spaces so the B word wouldn't be censored out.

  7. You are in the wrong Y!A section. Veganism is a cruelty-free lifestyle, not a weight loss plan. My suggestion? Eat your veggies, don't starve yourself, and most of all... EXERCISE! It's the best thing you can do for your body.

  8. I am not sure what the best way would be to lose the weight (different programs work for different people), but I would like to encourage you to be careful.  If you lose the weight too fast you might do damage to your organs.  Also, be sure to drink lots of water while you are dieting or you might wind up with a kidney infection.Be very careful with the vegan diet.  I got very sick and would up doing damage to my thyroid (will have to take a medication for the rest of my life.).

Actually, 120 doesn't sound too heavy to me.  Perhaps some exercise would help you shape up some.  You might want to try walking, weight work and swimming.  That would be a much healthier approach than severe diet methods.  Take care of your body.  It is the only one you will have for the rest of your life.

  9. I really don't think you need to lose weight unless you want to be anorexic.  Your BMI is normal (normal weight for your height)

  10. Burn more calories then you consume.  That's how you do it no matter what diet lifestyle you follow.

    Rules of thumb:

    1. Avoid white bread and regular pasta

    2. Avoid junk food

    3. Do moderate exercise at least 20 minutes a day

    4. Drink water

    5. Get enough sleep

  11. Becoming vegan isn't a weight loss plan, it's a lifestyle choice. You're not going to loose weight simply by becoming vegan, in fact, many people put on weight by eating the wrong foods and far too many carbs without changing the rest of their life habits.

You're obviously young. You have many resources at your fingertips. I'd recommend talking with your doctor about seeing a nutritionist and changing your diet/exercise habits.

  12. i actually was a vegetarian for a year and i gained weight o_o"

first of all how old are you? that's very little weight if you are a teenage, not very healthy either.

My only suggestion to you is to go back to being an omnivore like you are supposed to, work out, dont drink soda or junk food, and get a book about healthy eating and living.

  13. I run cross country and I am skinny try getting your self on a schedule  for like every day or if you not that strict on yourself every other day try it you should start see results in about a week in a half. and you need meat if you dont eat meat you wont have protien.

  14. Ok, first off, why would you want to be a vegetarian?  Is it just because you want to loose weight?  You don't have to be a vegetarian to loose weight.  All you have to do is exersize, like run every morning and lift weights.  Maybe even go to the gym or go to your local park and run on the track.  There are many things you can do to loose weight.  Instead of being a vegetarian, try limiting your snack choices, try to only eat 3 meals a day.  When I say limit I don't mean starve yourself!!!  Enjoy the meals you eat, and yes every once in a while you can treat yourself to a dessert.  So, being a vegetarian isn't the answer, unless you really don't like meat.  And if you do like meat, then you are not a true vegetarian, you are just forcing yourself to make yourself be something your not.  Being a vegetarian is hard work, see what your parents tell you.  But if you are forcing yourself to be a vegetarian because you want to loose weight, it's not worth it.  There are many other healthier solutions to loosing weight.  Good luck to you!!!

  15. You've made the mistake of thinking it is a magic weight loss system where you just eat "veg" and everything will fall into place. And it's definitely not a starvation program either. In fact many vegetarians are overweight.

Your BMI is fine as one other poster said so why do you want to lose weight? And as with most things in life, you have to work for it.

Try to learn a bit more about having a well balanced diet and you have to move or increase your activity level as in exercise. It doesn't have to be an extreme workout. Even a just a simple thirty minute walk after dinner works. This will help burn off the calories and help build muscles.  And don't be obsessed with weight as fat is in fact lighter than water or muscle and you may start to look trim but not lose weight at all.

  16. Yay! good for you on the vegan diet. I suggest:

    - less grain product and more veggie

    - accompany with plenty of exercise and water

    - Stop eating a couple of hours before bedtime (it's better for your health)

    - think only Postive*  thoughts regarding your weight

    - for fast (but not permanent weight loss, sit in the sauna for a while)

  17. being a vegetarian wont do any good for you to loose weight.

they say eat healthy and excersise, and you need meat for yer body to be healthy.

    eatt healthyy and excersise.

    or try green tea:

    ^^^^^

    that really works

you can get it for $4 at fiesta

drink a cup of it everyday

  18. Eat less, exercise more. It seems like you have reasonable goals... a tad fast, but not totally destructive. As a general rule, try to avoid losing more than 2 pounds a week. FYI, you're perfectly healthy now... you'll be pushing underweight at 100 lbs. 110 would probably be a better goal.

Weigh yourself at the same time of day each time. I would suggest keeping it to two weigh-ins a week tops (since your weight fluctuates day-to-day, and even hour-to-hour, more won't really give you a realistic look at your progress).

Don't give up any foods in order to lose weight. That's not the world's greatest motivation. (Vegetarianism and veganism are usually lifestyle choices, not temporary diets.)

Plan to be active for at least half an hour a day. If this means going for a walk, that's fine. You don't have to "work out" if you don't want to. Once you're in the habit of moving, consider adding weights or other strength training. If your main objective in losing weight is to improve your body, definitely consider kicking up your fitness routine. It probably will have more of an impact on your body shape than losing weight would.
