How can you used statistics to:

a. Compare samples?

b. Draw conclusion about the population from which each sample was selected.

a. If u collect data abt two samples, u can use stats to compare them. e.g. if u have 2 classes and you measure everyone's height, weight and age, you can compare which class has the bigger avg height, weight, etc, which one has a bigger range (diff bet tallest and shortest)

b. Depending on the data you can tell something about each class. For example, if you find the range of ages in one class is 3 years (as in everone's age falls within a 3-year interval like say, between 13-15) and the average is 13, then u can say there are some students here who are older and could be repeating the class.
