Please! I need help!!!?

My Friends children were abused again. CPS was called on Thursday and they haven't showed up? ?

He called them at 10pm and was told they would be out sometime Friday and they never showed up. 3 of the children have imprints of a hairbrush on different parts of their body. The oldest, between her shoulder blades, the other 2 on their arms and the 3 year old has a bruise on his shin an says that mommy kicked him. Her apartment is digusting and smells of rot and p**p. Why isn't the system working????? I thought CPS was supposed to help children not ignore them. It pisses me off that no one is doing anything to help these children. Their mother also refuses to get them into counseling, which they need and refuses to give their father the insurance cards to take them there himself. DSS told him he cannot get the cards and won't even tell him who their social worker is. He's at his wits end and can't get anywhere. His lawyer is giving him the run around also and everyone tells him that something drastic has to happen for basically anything to happen. It's not fair. Any advice? Any legal advice, ANYTHING Please!! I'm helpless as to what I can even do.

  4. Hi Dear,

I don't know what state you live in but here in California when children are involved in a abusing situation the CPS comes right out to check and make sure these children are not being abuse. If i was the dad of this so called daughter i would that the children away from her and not let her have them back. If she called the police on him,i would still refuse to let them take the children away from him.

He needs to get another attorney and take is abusing daughter to court and get custody of all children she has. This is an outrage on the CPS and that so called attorney the Dad has.Tell Dad to take pictures of her apartment and especially pictures of all the children with their bruising on them.He may have to go out of town to find a attorney to help him with this. This needs to be done A.S.A.P. before one of the children is seriously hurt or worse!!!.I am glad that there are still people out there that cares about what happens to children of an abusing parent.

    Your Friend,

  5. That's a very serious situation. Call the police, or go down to the nearest police station. It's the best thing you can do to help them right now. Hope that helps!

  6. It's easier to get these things to work if you know people.

I know it's really crappy of the system and I have a friend who went through it, they never did anything and eventually it just stopped.

  13. you said that nobody is doing anything...my answer is this...it is now you that has the obligation to thoes kids...call dss,go there yourself and raise frantic h**l...if nothing is done in a timely manner( i mean this by not leaving without knowing that someone is going to save those kids at that exact moment before you leave).before you call dss and or go there find out the chain of command.keep going up the chain...if you get the run around, go directly to the police...as for myself i wouldn't leave dss until i saw action and varified them going to get those kids.or i would wait for the police to show at dss cause i would demand action in whatever way i saw fit to get those kids safe...

  16. How about the police? I don't know what all has been going on there but if you call 911 that might get some attention. Also, you call CPS and have everyone that knows about this call, every day if you have to.
