Sorry I posted this question before, but it was really long (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=At_uoPZky.HXTIPYmfN50.bsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080805075009AAM8nis) please read it if you have time, but if not here's the situation lol:

basically my mum has been manipulative, selfish and treating me differently from my brother and sister ever since her and my dad got divorced. We're going on holiday soon, and we're staying in a caravan so we'll be stuck in a small space. How can I avoid arguments? How should I act towards her in the future? I've tried talking to her but its only made it worse. I'm probably going to move out when I'm 18, should I stay in contact? Please if you have time read my last question, but if not thanks for your answers here! (I'm 17 - and its not just being a teenager. Again, I've explained everything in my last question)

  1. your relationship with your mom might get better after you move out=Yes stay in contact. You should move out after you graduate

  2. Heya,

erm this is tricky but it sounds like my wee brother and my dad. he's got a different dad u c and my dad treats him well different. personally id get myself a ipod and take that away on holiday with you and a book. if situations get to much and theres gonna be an augument just go a walk and chill for a few hours. if our parents let you why not take a friend with you that would be perfect as you dont need to be with your family all the time.

i think you should keep in contact when you move out because things are much different then you wont be around eachother 24/7 so you will be less likely to argue, when i lived at home me and my mum hated eachother but now we get on good hopefully this will be the same for you.

    good luck with this.

  3. I read your first message but was unable to reply.   I just want to start out saying that you are a very special person and do not need to be treated in the manner that your mother is treating you.   She is poisoning your mind and self esteem.   If I were you, I would contact your father to see if you can stay with him.   Then do not go on that two week holiday, but spend it moving out to your dad's place.   The environment that you are living in is not healthy for you and your mother is planting bad seeds into your mind which may have a lasting effect in your life.   You are obviously a very sweet and caring person and I feel for you.   But you need to find a way to get out.   Since you are under age, your only safe alternative is to move in with your father.   Keep your chin up, it will not last forever.   But find a way to get out.   Good luck.

  4. JUST STICK WITH HER UNTIL YOU ARE OF AGE TO MOVE OUT ON YOUR ON, IT SEEMS CRUCIAL RIGHT NOW TO BE IN HER EXISTENCE BUT ENDURE WHAT YOU HAVE TO AND HOLD THE NOTION THAT SOON YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN, THEN YOU CAN KEEP IN CONTACT AT YOUR OWN DESIRE

  5. Oh. my. goodness.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful of your mother or anything but... we have a huge problem on hand here. >.<

Have you ever tried talking to your school counselors? You can arrange it so it's during the day so that your mother won't suspect anything. I'm sure that they can help.

Another person who I know can help is a man named Dawson McAllister (or just the Hopeline in general). I listen to his radio show every Sunday night, and it's amazing to see how many kids he's helped. His website is down in the source box. So search the site a bit... you can email him, you can call him, there are people to chat with, etc. All these people WANT TO HELP. The number for the Hopeline is 1-800-394-HOPE (4673).

But yes, definitely move out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I really hope this problem gets solved, and I hope I helped. I'm keeping you in my prayers. Stay strong. <3

    P. S. I read your last question... why did you delete it? no wonder why my answer could be submitted...
